A safer digital future: new EU cyber security rules

The European Union has introduced new cyber-security legislation that aims to strengthen the protection of key sectors of the economy and society. The NIS 2 Directive tightens security requirements and extends their scope to sectors such as cloud service providers, e-commerce platforms and social media.

The legislation is intended to increase the resilience and responsiveness of both the public and private sectors to rapidly evolving cyber threats.
