Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies National University of Kyiv-Mohhyla Academy

The original Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, founded by the Metropolitan of Kyiv Petro Mohyla in 1615, was one of the most distinguished educational institutions in Eastern Europe. After closure during Soviet times the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy was reestablished after gaining independence of Ukraine in 1991.
