On 26 November 2025, the 3rd International Seminar titled “Green European Economy: Energy Transition and Sustainable Competitiveness” was held as part of the CEWSE II project.
The event focused on key challenges related to the EU’s energy transition and its impact on sustainable development and the competitiveness of the EU economy. Experts discussed opportunities for supporting the green transition, enhancing energy security, and strengthening the resilience of the European market.
The invited speakers included:
- Prof. Tatjana Muravska - Jean Monnet Chair Ad Personam, Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, University of Latvia and Riga Stradins University, Latvia
- Dr Paweł Brusiło – Assistant Professor at the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, Member of the Expert Network of the European Commission Representation in Poland – Team Europe Direct
Prof. Tatjana Muravska delivered a lecture titled “The New Era of Industrial Policy: Fostering Growth and Ensuring Security,” in which she highlighted the significance of modern EU industrial policy, centred on strengthening economic resilience, developing competitive advantages and ensuring security within an increasingly dynamic global environment.
Dr Paweł Brusiło presented the role of the hydrogen economy in the EU’s energy transition and transport decarbonisation, illustrating the topic with the example of the rapidly developing hydrogen-based bus sector.
The seminar was also attended by members of the CEWSE II project — Dr Anna Wójtowicz, Dr Michał Jasiński, and Dr Marta Pachocka — who participated as co-organisers of the event.
The seminar served as an important platform for knowledge exchange and deeper reflection on the future directions of the EU’s green transformation.
