New Defence Action Plan lauched by the EU
The “2030 Peacekeeping and Defence Preparedness Action Plan” has been presented by the European Commission and High Representative.
This plan sets a roadmap for Europe to reach full defence readiness by 2030, with four flagship initiatives:
European Drone Defence Initiative
Eastern Flank Watch
European Air Shield
European Space Shield
The Action Plan calls for stronger defence industry, joint development of capabilities, and closer cooperation among Member States. It also underlines Europe’s commitment to Ukraine and NATO objectives, while aiming to build a more resilient, innovative and self-reliant EU defence.
